Question for the authors

I was thinking of creating an off-site archive for fic_variations.


Before I set up the archive, I thought I'd ask all of the writers first.

Would any of you be interested in an off-site archive for this community?

Let me know your thoughts. I've screened comments.

An off-site archive would be very cool. My only thing would be that I would hope it would be made clear on said site that none of the fics are to be taken from the archive and posted other places without the author's permission and such.

Other than that, I think an archive is a very neat idea! Great thought.

Definitely.

I used to run another archive and that was never a problem.

I'd also ask each author for permission before archiving their fics.

Absolutely. An awesome idea. I agree with callmedirk - as long as it's clear that archiving permission is for the site only, unless they contact the author.
