Title: Look At Me Now
Author: [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com]
Rating: PG
fic_variations Prompt/Claim: Constant/Ed Green [Law & Order: AU Series] (#1 w. Nina Cassady)
Words: 249
Spoilers: Anything that may have happened in the series before this.
Warnings: This follows the series I wrote revolving around Ed. It takes place after the third story ends, and everything that's happened to him and the people in his life is fair game to pop up. If you haven't read it by now, I don't expect you to. But feel free to read these, you don't need to have read the others.
Author's Notes: Any and all Law and Order characters are not mine and I mean no harm in using them. However all original characters are mine and I'd rather they not be used without permission. All story lines that have occurred in these peoples lives are mine as well, be courteous.
Ed dropped himself down into the chair at his desk and loosened the tie around his neck. His partner, Nina, sat across from him and looked at him with a raised brow.
“Tired?”
“Damn straight,” he nodded and looked down at the file in front of him and flipped it open. “I swear I'm not getting' any sleep anymore.”
“I really don't wanna know,” she shook her head and held up a hand. “What you two do in your apartment-”
“Not like that!” He tossed a pencil across her desk and she laughed. “She's makin' me redo the entire place. I dunno what was wrong with it before.”
“Easy, it looked like two big ugly men lived there.” Nina shrugged. A little smirk came to her lips. “Probably 'cuz they did.”
“Don't get me started on ugly.” Ed gave her a look. “That monkey you're dating?”
“We weren't talkin' about my monkey, we're talkin' about your apartment. What's Liv got you doing?”
He heaved a sigh and leaned back in the chair. He slowly ticked off the chores on his fingers. “Paintin' every room. New furniture – half of which I gotta assemble. Redoing the cabinets in the kitchen. New tiles in the master bathroom..and every time I come home? There's somethin' else to be done.”
Nina chuckled and picked up her pen. “You regrettin' having her move in?”
A small smile crossed his lips as he leaned back to his desk and looked down at his work. “Nah.”
