Kyon tried to make conversation with Yuki again. "What are you reading today, Miss Nagato?"
Yuki gestured to a tall stack of books. "'The Complete Works Of Marcel Proust'!?" Kyon asked.
"Proust's novels ostensibly tell of the irrevocability of time lost," a suddenly talkative Yuki said, "the forfeiture of innocence through experience, and the reinstatement of extra-temporal values of time regained. Ultimately, the novels are both optimistic and set within the context of a humane religious experience, re-stating as it does the concept of intemporality."
Kyon sighed. "You know, I can't understand a single word of your explanations for anything."
